Enjoy Christmas this year without slaving for hours in the kitchen. You can whip up this super healthy and absolutely delicious dessert in 10 minutes max, have a shower and get dressed while the Christmas Bliss Balls set, and you are ready to go. The added essential oils will help to digest your food, if you overindulge!
- Prep: 10 mins
- Yields: 10 to 20 bliss balls, depending on the size
Directions
1Place all ingredients in a bowl and combine well.
2Line an airtight container with baking paper.
3Roll mixture into balls and place them in the container, leaving enough space around them, so that they don't touch each other.
4Place in fridge for 1 hour or until firm.
5Store bliss balls in the fridge for up to 5 days. (Ours always disappear on the first day!)
¹ Chia seeds are rich in vitamins, minerals, protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
² Maca is grown high in the mountains of South America, mainly in high altitude regions of Peru. Maca powder is very rich in nutrients. It has positive effects on hormone balance and energy levels.
³ Raw cacao powder contains up to four times the antioxidants of traditional and has the highest antioxidant value of all the natural foods in the world.
⁴ Both dōTERRA On Guard™ and dōTERRA Smart & Sassy™ (called Slim & Sassy in the USA) have a spicy, Christmassy flavour and provide many health benefits. If you don't have any of them at home, you can also use cinnamon, wild orange or peppermint oil. Only use food grade essential oils from trusted brands in food recipes. I buy my essential oils from dōTERRA. If you don't want to use essential oils, add 1 tsp. cinnamon powder instead.
